Where I've been|

Hello, my name is Mark! I grew up in a small desert town ironically named Apple Valley. My amazing mom raised my brother and I largely on her own. It wasn't always easy, but somewhere in that dry desert where nothing grows I found a Savior who could bring life. In high school I was convicted of my sin and fell in love with God's word about what he had done for his people. Over a period of a few years after my conversion I began to realize that I could do nothing more important in this life than teach the deep truths about this God to those around me. For this reason I committed to attending Biola University.

Where I'm at|

While at Biola, my passion for God's word only grew. As a biblical studies major I learned the significance of theology, languages, and hermeneutics but with these an even deeper passion for the gospel not only to save but to bring little by little the kind of future life to come here and now. The place I witnessed that needed this the most was the continent of Europe which I was able to study in for 3 months. Maybe most significantly though, at Biola I got married to my beautiful wife, Krisandra. We now live in La Mirada just outside of Los Angeles, CA. We are both finishing our senior and final year. 

Where I'm going|

At the current moment I am working as an intern with my church, Imago Dei Church. They have a fantastic vision to reach the lost in Southeast LA and I am excited to further that mission.  I plan to attend seminary in the coming years and attain my M. DIv. This will hopefully prepare me for pastoral ministry soon. Eventually I would lalso like to return to Europe and do missions work one day. I have a passion for teaching and love to preach and lead Bible studies. In these times I see lives transformed, habits abandoned, and committments made. I hope to be a part of this for the rest of my life.
